We are very pleased to announce the release of the
Draft Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument
Management Plan (DMMP) and associated Environmental Assessment (EA) for your
review and comment.
The four-volume, 1,200 page DMMP and EA are available for a 75-day public review and comment
period beginning April 23 and running through July 8, 2008. Comment submission information is listed below.

Copies are also available for review at any State of Hawai‘i public library, and a very limited number of copies are available on compact disk or in hard copy by calling the Fish and Wildlife Service in Honolulu at 808.792.9530

This comprehensive management plan represents the planning processes of three distinct agencies. Please review our page on the Co-Trustee Management structure, which will provide more information on the agencies that are tasked to manage Papahānaumokuākea.
Join us at the Public Meetings
Nine public meetings will be held across Hawai'i, as well as one meeting at the Main Interior Building in Washington, D.C.. We are encouraging people to attend a public meeting if they would like to learn more about the Draft Management Plan. At each meeting, the public will be given an overview of the plan, and time to provide official comments. Comments can also be submitted via mail, e-mail or hand delivered.
